Indie-Pop upstarts 'Computerclub' release there much antisipated new
single 'Turn The Lights Out' next month via Split Records.
Following on from the recent successes of debut album ‘Before The Walls
Came Down’, COMPUTERCLUB return with the release of their single ‘Turn
The Lights Out’ on 2nd March 2009 through Split Records.

An album and live favourite, ‘Turn The Lights Out’ is a soaring anthem of
epic proportions. Swirling with atmospheric riffs and driving drumbeats it’
s intense and dark (excuse the pun) whilst remaining a melodic and
uplifting song, showing the band’s true potential.
Originally due out in January – this single has been re-scheduled for
March now a new distribution deal has been secured with Republic Of
Music after the administration of Pinnacle Distribution.

The band’s debut album ‘Before The Walls Came Down’ came out in
October and received plaudits from the likes of the NME, The Fly and
Steve Lamacq on 6Music. Written and recorded in a nine-day burst in
Moles studio in Bath with acclaimed producer Paul Corkett (Radiohead,
the Cure, Placebo), the album showcases the band’s formidable talents as
it delves into themes of friendship and sadness following the loss of
drummer and best pal Steve Brookes who was forced to retire from the
band following a crippling operation removing the cartilage in his hand.
Encapsulating a darker and more reflective eighties-influenced
melancholy the album show’s their maturity in song-writing and style as
they experiment with guitar loops and an old 62 bit drum machine – their
songs soar and develop with an ultimately positive feel.

A review of the upcoming single will be posted shortly!
