Intro:
American rockers, Framing Hanley are set to release their second album
"A Promise To Burn" on May 25th. They are most famous for their cover of
Lil' Wayne's "Lollipop" and due to this they hope that with the release of
the new album they are able to prove to the world that they are not just a
pop-cover band.
Track Review:
The track starts slowly but eventually builds up into a faster beat. The slow
start and raspy vocals of Nixon gives a slight mysterious feel to the track,
which leaves the listener wanting to hear more from not only the track but
the whole album.
As the pre-chorus begins, the guitars kick in with riffs which instantly cause
excitement along with Nixon's vocals, until the verse is reached in which
the previous guitar riff is returned to along with raspy vocals, clearly
showing the distinction between chorus and verse. The track through out
has a catchy beat which is accompanied by lyrics which anyone can relate
to no matter how old they are.
Framing Hanley are a band for the future in my opinion and I for one can't
wait for the release of “A Promise To Burn” as from the first single alone it
sounds like an album not to be missed
8/10
EDITORS NOTE: It should be noted 'Back to Go Again' is in-fact
going to be the 1st single from the album, available to the UK only
