Intro:
American rockers, Framing Hanley have just released their 2nd album “A
Promise To Burn”, they are hoping to prove that they are not just a cover
band. After becoming famous for their cover of Lil' Wayne's “Lollipop”.
After reviewing the first US single taken from the bands latest album, “You
Stupid Girl”, I really couldn't wait to review the next UK single “Back To Go
Again”.
Track Review:
“Back To Go Again” has a different feel and sound to that of “You Stupid
Girl”, giving more evidence that with the second album the band have
grown up since the release of “The Moment” (debut album). It has a
mysterious edge to it, however it did take a few listens for it to grow on me.
Lyrically and vocally it is as strong as “You Stupid Girl” and “Hear Me
Now”, proving the stregth and skills of Nixon. It carries a very catchy beat
set by Chris Vest (drums) and Luke McDuffee (bass). Thr guitars don't
seem to stand out as much as they do on other tracks, where as “Back To
Go Again” seems more focused on the vocals as opposed to the music.
