Single Title:
I Could Never Die

By:
The Rifles

Expected Release Date(s):
July 21st 08'

Bio -
The Rifles are a Britpop outfit from East London, who released their first
album, 'No Love Lost', in 2006 to critical acclaim, including the praise of
Graham Coxon and Paul Weller - who joined them on stage at The Kentish
Town Forum

On the verge of releasing their second album, the Rifles are about to
launch onto a 30-date UK tour this autumn, and are 'loaded to have their
breakthrough moment'. This single has been released in two batchs of
2000 - the first 2000 being given to those who buy tickets to the Brixton
Academy gig in November, a further 2000 availible to general sale.

Track Review -
The Rifle's are listed as Rock/Ska/Punk - this I cannot really see in this
single. So as an Indie song, it checks all the boxes, and performs
reasonably well. It contains catchy riffs and an accented vocal.

Personally this music doesn't appeal to me, as I feel I've heard it all before
with the other Indie/Britpop bands that have come before (and will follow in
the future no doubt).

7/10 Pretty good indie crowd-please.
